Start by checking out your front door's deadbolt lock. If you don't have one or it is worn out and rusty, call a locksmith to install a new, sturdy one instead. Also, get in the habit of using your air conditioner more than your windows to cool your house. While it can be nice to let a fresh breeze in on a milder day, we don't recommend doing this when you're not at home, or at night. You'll sleep better knowing your windows are locked and secure.
